Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. Her mother is English while her father is Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was 14 years old. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received the BA in acting. She appeared in many stages during her high college days, such as King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe scored her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha on a BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She was Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was eventually ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who appeared on the show as a series regular for the past two seasons, was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premiere episode of the new season. She was Tituba on the television program Salem in 2014 until 2016. In June 2012, the actress was married to her long-time love, actor Iddo Goldberg. Apart from Secret Diary of a Call Girl they also appeared in tandem on Salem and he had a part alongside her in that TV show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty along with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The four brothers of Ashley, who were all extremely athletic, played hockey during the winter and baseball during the summer, so she basically grew up in parks and arenas. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, however she did dance. As she was two and a half, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. It was then that she discovered Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley was a professional dancer in all the major divisions up until her graduation from high school. The competitions she participated in included jazz, tap, ballet as well as pointe and Acrobatics. She won the top individualist in all the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
